In 1995, Compass began providing fax broadcast services to business customers. Since then, crafted by entrepreneurial New Zealand business professionals, Compass now has a nationwide network with annual revenues exceeding $130 million. Introducing our world class network

Compass Communications deploys innovative technologies to deliver communications solutions to its increasingly-discerning customers.

The company operates major switching centres in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch with a further 40 points of connectivity nationwide. Core voice and data networks are fully redundant and multiple network paths to all national and international destinations are maintained, allowing for alternate routes for calls should a transmission problem develop in any one network. As a result, the Compass network meets the world standard for network reliability of 99.999%.

In addition, Compass owns and manages a purpose built wireless network which delivers high speed connectivity, making it ideal for high quality telephone calls, as well as broadband Internet. Available across New Zealand at key locations, the wireless data and VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) services offered by Compass provide a viable alternative to other standard broadband data services.

In addition to our residential service offering - which provides low cost tolls, broadband and line rental to consumers – Compass Commercial works with businesses to provide effective and efficient end-to-end telecommunications and IT solutions.
